GENERAL GUIDELINES FOR FORMAT OF WORKS CITED:
- Begin the Works Cited as a new page in the continuation of the paper. (If the paper ends on page 6, begin Works Cited on page 7).
- Center the title, Works Cited, an inch from the top of the page. Double space between the title and the first entry.
- Begin the first line of each entry at the left margin. Indent each successive line five spaces or one-half inch. Double space the entire list, both between and within entries.
- List entries alphabetically by the first word in each entry. If the author’s name is unknown, alphabetize by the title, ignoring any initial A, An, or The.
